I fell about a month and a half ago and hurt my leg pretty bad. I'm all healed minus a very nasty large scab on the center of my shin. Does anyone know if there is a way to get scab off without reopening the sore on my leg?

If the skin underneath is completely healed then you should be able to take the scab off. If it's not completely healed, the scab will still hang on because the skin underneath is still developing so that the scab can flake off. This is usually why scabs flake off.

Leave it alone until it falls off. If you remove the scab too soon you will get a permanent scar.

the scab is your body's way of protecting an injury to the skin. leave it there to prevent infection.

The quickest remedy is leaving it alone. It will come off much quicker than anything you can try.

i would leave it be. if you pull it off, it may not be totally healed under it.
