Who seems to know the most about their race car beyond how to drive the car, who seems to be the driver who can break items and information down about their car and explain it well? Overall, which driver seems to know the anatomy of their race car the best?
MUST PICK AN ACTIVE DRIVER, NO CREW CHEIFS!!

Ok, yeah I forgot Ryan Newman has that degree... but there are other drivers who know what they are talking about who don't have degree's. Try to pick a non educated / no degree driver. LOL.

I would have to say Jeff burton. The knowledge he has brought from a drivers perspective to RCR has been one of the biggest reasons for the turn around to the whole organization. If you listen to him on the scanner, he is calling a lot of his own changes he wants to make.

Also Michael Waltrip does know his stuff and I know he is definitely not gone through higher education.

The obvious one has been mentioned but one guy I like to listen to is Greg Biffle. He knows a lot about setups and engines. When he was racing dirt back in Washington state he built his own cars and was very good at it. Coming into NASCAR at an older age than most of the new guys he had been wrenching on cars for a long time. Like him or not he is by far the most interesting and informative driver on the "panel of experts" on Inside Nextel Cup with Dave Despain.

I would go with Matt Kenseth, the announcers will sometimes comment on his know how of mechanical aspects of the car. This is why they are capable of being so consitent. With the other drivers they have had good crew chiefs, but if you listen to Kenseth on the radio he will call for the exact changes on the car that he wants, but Robbie calls it if they may struggling a little bit. Even when he was coming up he built his own springs and worked on his own car even coming up through the various series.

If you have ever watched the beyond the glory about him Earnhardt Jr even commented about his know how of cars and that is why he was winning and ultimately won the 2003 Championship.

Other drivers are good, but a lot of calls come from the crew chief, if you ever have a chance listen to Kenseth coming in for pit stops and you will see for yourself how talented he is when it comes to the know how of the car

Hi, I don`t think it would be a fuse or else none of the doors will work. Being that it is a 2007 isn`t the car still under warranty? If so I would bring it back where you brought it. It could be a loose connection or a bad relay switch. Hope I helped and go luck.......John

I'll go with the crowd on this one Ryan Newman

ok my uneducated choice is Jeff Burton and by uneducated I meant not having a degree in engineering from Notre Dame.
I'm definitely not saying Jeff Burton is stupid. I just wanted to make that clear :]

Ryan Newman has an engineering degree... but I know that Carl Edwards has picked a few of his own adjustments.

I would have said Bill Elliot back in the day when he, Dan and Ernie all worked on the car themselves. Since the teams now are generic high-tech packages, that might not be true of any driver nowadays.

Do we want brains or common sense to the set up?
Matt kenseth can adapt to most tracks with his knowlege of the car,but so can Gordon and Stewart.
But to set up and run comfortable my vote is to Mark Martin.
