It is possible that it is his mom that wants to see the kids in the first place.
Is there a reason she should not be allowed to see her grandchildren? If not, then I would suggest talking to her, and seeing if you could work out some visitations between the two of you.
Also, it sounds like the visits are kind of off and on.
What I would do in your situation is tell him no overnights until he can be the stable parent the children need.
Sporadically taking them for extended periods just every now and then just confuses them, not to mention, the probably miss you, since they are with you most of the time.
If the no over nights thing doesn't work well, then just plan for one day a week when you will take your girls to a park for a few hours. Tell him he is welcome to come see them then if he wants.
It really sounds like he needs to straighten up and realize what a gift his little girls really are.

You're not going to like this answer.
Unfortunately, if you don't go to court and tell the court why he shouldn't be permitted to see them (sounds like he isn't paying child support, and the courts can force him to do that too), you're not going to have any way to enforce your desires here, no matter how well founded they may be.
I wish you the best of luck.

well tough question and veries by the situtation if his name is on the birth certificate and the is nothing on record you cannot keep him away from the kids. if there is a support order on file and he has not been paying then he is not allowed visitation(at least here in ohio) it sound more like his mother wants to see the children not him. if i were you i would work something out with her. she is just a bystander that wants to see her grandchildren

well with the youngest you could tell him he cant see her because he has no rights to her until he takes you to court for that but with the older one there really isnt much to do ... try to contact a lawyer and ask their opinion, but you can go to job and family services and it wont cost you anything to take him back to court

Well, if he has visitation rights then there isn't much you can do besides go to court. Your only other option would only be if the girls are being abused, then you could report him to CPS.

If he does not pay court ordered child support, then he has no rights. However, if he does, then there isn't much u can do unless you protest in court.

Unfortunately, your only option is to go back to court...only the judge can determine if the jerks rights will be provoked. Hang in there, and good luck.
