Soul = GODness

2007-06-14 16:45:45 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 2 7

A soul is consider the spiritual part of a person, but athiests don't really believe in that stuff.

I'm an athiest as well (I don't really care what's up THERE, as long as everything is okay down HERE.), and I'd consider that I have a soul.

Souls basically seperate evil from good. Saying that athiests don't have souls is saying that athiests are evil; which isn't true.

So, I'd say I have a soul, to be honest. Just because athiests don't believe in ANGELS, doesn't mean they don't believe in a spiritual part of themselves. If you believe you have a soul, then you do. :)

I believe that all humans have souls.

Souls can be compared to diamonds:

When a person finds a diamond in the hard lava like soil it is
rough and seems worthless to the human eye. Light cannot penetrate the hard outer surface.
When a diamond cutter facets it into a beautiful gem the true value comes out of the gem because light has been allowed to enter, revealing its true worth.
The soul in man is much like this. In a persons early years the soul has a hard outer crust and a cutter is necessary to facet the soul. When this happens the true worth of the soul
is allowed to radiate into the world.
This is what we have come into the world to experience, a truly illuminated soul.

The task is difficult, and many will say this is impossible, yet I have met such a person in the world. And I might add that I wouldn't have wanted to live without having met such a "Soul".

Either people have souls, or they don't. I don't know the answer to that question. But logically it must be that if some people have souls, all must have them. Otherwise, a person would lose his soul on becoming an athiest, or gain one on becoming a believer.

Taking that to the extreme, one could gain and lose a soul many times in one lifetime.

Yes. Without a soul one would not be here. The soul is what is needed to be born.

Of course, christian's believe atheist's have souls.

But atheist's most likely, do not believe they have a soul. That would normally belong to the realm of supernatural, and that is something atheist's deny.

I'm an atheist, I believe I don't have a soul.

Everyone has a soul whether they believe it or not. Everyone is eternal whether they believe it or not. The destination of their eternal soul is the correct question that should be asked here.

We all have souls. Atheists might not like to think they have one (perhaps some might however), but we all have souls. The souls of Atheists just have a different destination once they meet the God they don't believe in.
