The doctor only suspects that you have MS. The blood tests could either further or break his assumptions. A good doctor won't schedule you for an expensive procedure if you don't need to have it. Go for your blood testing, see what the results say, and let your doctor go from there. If you're still worried after that, express your concerns, but let your doctor do his job. He's just taking precautions. He doesn't want to send you spinning if he doesn't have to.
By the way, the blood tests ARE the ground work! Would you rather him tell you that you need to have blood tests, and an MRI, and yadda yadda yadda and then not even tell you what might be wrong?! No way!

being told you may have a potentially fatal disease is traumatic. Some respond with anger, like yourself, some with apathy, some with depression. There are as many reactions as there are people. But let me ask you this, wouldn't you be upset if the doctor suspected MS and did not tell you? I would. Blood tests are the front line indicators of anything wrong in the body, and if they show a certain pattern, then guess what, the doc has every possibility of being right. So, get further testing and either confirm or rule out his suspicions, don't waste time on being angry, it does you no earthly good.

If I went to the docs for a problem, he will immediately have a few ideas as to what is going on with me. in order for him/her to come to a solid conclusion, then certain testings must be done to rule out any other diagnosis.
If he said he suspects MS, I would not be angry at him, it is not his fault. I would be angry at MS, if indeed that is what the final diagnosis comes down to.
Be safe and be well

Well, yes, the medical establishment can be quite frustrating at times, especially when you don't trust the physician's judgment or their diagnoses isn't quite grounded or they don't relate to you as a patient why they are making certain claims. Consider what he said, but wait until the results before you react or start worrying. Sometimes physicians cause undue worry; but you can be a consciencious patient by asking and understanding all of the concrete facts before you take their words to heart. Remember that in the end they are only physicians; they are not God. Sometimes, they make mistakes, and sometimes, patients catch them. I wish you good health!

Yes i would be mad. Some doctors are so insensitive to there patients feelings. My cousin has MS. He woke up one morning and couldn't see out of one of his eyes, so my aunt took him to an eye specialist and he sent them to another specialist and got an MRI and it was confirmed. I don't think they should speculate and scare the crap out of you until they absolutely know for sure--hope you get a good report!!
