is that normal for when i'm sad (aka right now, but that doesnt matter), i am actually physically feeling it in my eyes, throat, and upper chest? its weird, it just feels a certain way and i dunno.. its weird. is that normal?

I don't know if it's normal, but i have felt sad, like my chest is caving in and my throat is closing up. i have depression so i wouldn't know if it's that or just intense feelings of sadness.

No, that is a normal feeling. When people are depressed they often feel like they are physically carrying a weight on their shoulders.

When I'm very sad my eyes feel like they want to cry but can't and my throat almost feels like it is closing. I hate these symptoms but not much I can do about it but continue on my anti-depressants.

Yes. I have depression and anxiety. When I get really anxious I can feel it in my throat, kind of sore choking feeling.

I have heard doctors say that's a pretty common symptom of anxiety.

Oh definitely.

Especially the eyes and throat...

I think it's probably due to anxiety...

I believe so. Some people will feel body aches when they are emotionally hurting.

I remember once when I was so sad my chest hurt. I guess that's what they mean by a broken heart..................
