My lab has a red pimple on the bottom of her paw between her toes. It might be a misquito bite or other kind of insect bite. It's bothering her but I don't know what to put on it. Any suggestions?

It could be a number of things; an insect bite, sliver or an allergy. You can put some cortisone on it which should help the irritation. Have it checked out at the vet. ☺

first check the rest of her paws for redness and any other area's that you may see exposed skin especially her ears and arm pits. If that is the only problem area its most likely ant bites or a spider bite. If you notices any other pimple like things anywhere else its possible that she has an allergy to something. In that case go to your vet and he/she will give you some sort of antihistamine pill and/or an antibiotic pill as well as a topical antibiotic cream. Hope it all works out.

It is probably a fire ant bite and is itching/burning. Give her a couple of benadryl and put a little cool compress on it to take care of it. Make sure she doesn't keep licking/biting at it as labs are bad to do that and get hot spots which are a zillion times worse than what they started with!

It could be a small piece of glass in there that is infected, or an skin infection. Needs to go to the vet. Dogs don't like their feet messed with usually. Good luck.
