With things like this, it should be one strike you're out - not necessarily like in the bible when a prophet was killed for making a false prophecy, but people like this should be given NO credibility ever again. To me, if people are claiming to be Christian and predicting judgement day, yet somehow missing that part in the bible where it says no one knows the day or time, they are obviously crazy or full of pride. Judging by how much money was pumped into promoting this, I am willing to bet he is just crazy. All the money for full page ads in the paper, signs, even RVs could have been used to feed impoverished people. I think that would have been a much more effective testimony of the Christian faith. Sorry for the rant, GUY. This stuff just makes me crazy(er). Great question.

It means if a dog or horse or chicken bites you, you don't go near them again so you won't get bitten again. It applies to con men, too. If you get cheated once, you're more careful next time around.

it's kind of like that famous Bush misquote:

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
