30-06 is the only centerfire rifle round of those.

Neither 9mm or .22LR are designed for long range shooting whatsoever.

30-06 is a rather powerful rifle round. With a good rifle and optics you could hit targets quite a ways out, 800 meters or more.

9mm is a pistol round and .22LR is a cheap rimfire round, mostly for short range target shooting or hunting vermin.

9mm is definitely not a long range cartridge (assuming you mean 9mm handgun rounds.)

.22 cal, now you say .22 caliber, I'm assuming you mean .22 long rifle which isn't very good for anything over 50 yards, however there are many .22 caliber rounds out there that are excellent long range cartridges:

.223 Remington (5.56 NATO)
.220 Swift
.22-250
.222 Remington Mag

Just to name a few

.306, Never heard of a .306 theres a .307 Winchester and a .308 Winchester but no .306. . . . . .

I think you mean .30-06 (or maybe .308) both are good at moderately long distances the .30-06 packs a bigger punch as the cartridge can hold more powder. 300 yards is about the absolute longest distance you're going to be able to effectivly shoot these, and thats even pushing it a bit.

You really should clean up your cartridge terminology to ask. We're all assuming you mean one of the 9mm pistol cartridges, none of which is a long-range proposition, simply because there are only a few 9mm rifle cartridges, and they're all obsolete; the last we think is some 30 caliber rifle cartridge, but there's lots of variation among them; and it's anybody's guess whether the 22 you're talking about is rimfire or centerfire, pistol or rifle, the widest variation of all.
If you're interested in such things, I'd suggest you borrow (or buy) a reloading manual. None has all the cartridges that have ever been made, but they have a wide variety, and some useful information about ballistics as well. They're worth thumbing through even if you never load a cartridge yourself.

The proper terminology is .30-'06 Springfield.

With the '06, a good rifle, a better scope, and a great rifleman, 1,000 yard hits are possible.

I know Ingles made Browning Hi-Powers with 800 meter sights and shoulder stocks, but that is just wishful thinking. I wouldn't count on hitting a mansized target at ranges beyond 200-300 yards.

This time last week, I would have said don't count on hitting with a .22 LR at much past 150 yards. Then, a friend told me that he had killed a prairie dog at 257 laser measured yards with his .22 LR.

I suspect you mean .30-06 and you are comparing apples and oranges. The .9mm is properly a pistol cartridge; the .22 is a rimfire and the .30-06 is a centerfire rifle cartridge.

Quick answer: The .30-06, then the .22 as both are rifle cartridges.

The 9mm Luger has been killing human beings for the perfect 100yrs. Handgun rounds are a extra positive selection for abode protection for my section than rifle calibers yet i might want to probably look right into a shotgun first. Then %. up a astounding handgun later. The shotgun delivers some versatility by permitting you to apply shot shells and slugs. The shot shells like 00 greenback shot is tremendous for 40yrds or a lot less inspite of the indisputable fact that the slugs are reliable for a 100yrds. A shotgun is likewise affordable and extremely reliable. Now in the journey that your options is determined on a carbine, i might want to look into an AR15. This weapon equipment has been shown by our regulation Enforcement besides because the military. that's ordinary weight, extremely precise, and can want to %. one up for concerning the fee of a Beretta CX4 hurricane (carbine rifle). the expenditures are beginning to decline on the AR15 making them even accessible besides as less costly. you could also purchase .223 in bulk and the magazines are dirt affordable compared to Beretta magazines. anyhow, that's basically my .02 cents.
