Good match-up. This match is a Fight of the Year match as long as it lasts. Julian Jackson had murderous punching power in his prime, the same goes for Hearns. Jackson was a pure puncher. Tommy had some abilities of boxing his opponent. He can transform from being a slugger to become a boxer/puncher. That would make the difference in this fight with Jackson. Jackson would nail Tommy with some clean shots early. I expect Hearns to get back at Julian by the 3rd or 4th. Hearns will swarm Jackson and nail him with hard flush right hands that will knock out Jackson. I expect several knockdowns between both fighters before the curtain falls. Hearns by KO in the 4th round in an electrifying slugfest.

I'd say who ever landed first. Both of these guys hit like trucks, but over all Thomas Hearns was the better boxer. I think Hearns would have got to Jackson before Jackson nailed Tommy, but this one is a pick em fight. Either has the ability to KO the other. Hearns fought the better opposition in his career, so I would give Tommy a slight edge, and in this fight, a slight edge is enough.

Hearns by KO.

Hearns. Both had murderous punching power and shaky chins, but Hearns was the way better boxer and more accurate puncher, he would starch Jackson 8/10. The other two Jackson catches him and Hearns goes out.

Tommy Hearns. He's a 7-time world champion and future hall of famer, if he isn't there yet. Who's Julian Jackson anyway? Has he achieved anything in boxing?

Good match up! I think Jr. Mid. was Tommy's best weight. I think he wins because he was more versatile than Jackson. I wouldn't be shocked if Jackson knocked Hearns out though.

hearns by 8th round ko, unless jackson got in with a lucky punch.
a better question might be: hearns vs mccallum!
i would give that one to hearns by decision at any weight.

Hearns by mid-round ko.Julian Jackson would have his moments, but if Mike McCallum could survive brief hell, then so could Thomas.

Hey Fed, Check out Bogbaba's answer. No sense in me repeating what he wrote. I totally agree with his commentary. Jackson/Hearns, helluva matchup!

Jackson, one of teh best KO artists ever. And Hearns chin was a little too suspect for me to take him.
