This special Bible verse, is a good one, that I really like and it will help all to realize the expectations of parents. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Being it will be Father's day, I thought this was a good one. I was trained from birth to be a Christian and realize how Thank-full, I am, to have some Beliefs. We need to Respect all cultures Beliefs. This is the way we have been taught.

How can you pick favorites? The Bible is not meant to be read that way. The Bible is meant to be read as a whole and not in bits and pieces, so the answer to this question would be the entire Bible, because it forms a complete and flawless whole.

Being partial to Unitarianism, I have taken a quote from the Old and New Testaments, the Nag-Hammadi, and from the literature of Unitarian leaders, early followers and scholars:

(necessary to compare sources for a proper interpretation and the interpretation must always be in favour of Unitarian belief systems, like any faith)

On Free Will:

Old Testament:

Deuteronomy 30:19
19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

New Testament:

John 1:1-13

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 He was with God in the beginning.

3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men.

5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.

6 There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John.

7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.[b]

10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

13children born not of natural descent,[c] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

The Apocalypse of Peter -- The Nag Hammadi Library

"Come therefore, let us go on with the completion of the will of the incorruptible Father. For behold, those who will bring them judgment are coming, and they will put them are not of this age. For there will be no honor in any man who is not immortal, but only contain him who gives his abundance. Therefore I said, 'Every one who has, it will be given to him, and he will have plenty.' But he who does not have, that is, the man of this it will be taken from him and be added to the one who is. You, therefore, be courageous."

" The office of government is not to confer happiness, but to give men the opportunity to work out happiness for themselves."

William Emery Channing

"The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions — the little, soon forgotten charities of a kiss or smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment, and the countless infinitesimals of pleasurable and genial feeling."

Samuel Taylor Coleridge

I just love proverbs, don't you?

The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.--Pr.30:17

He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.--Pr.13:24

Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.--Pr.19:18

I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh.--Pr.1:26

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.--Pr:22:15

Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats.--Pr.23:6

Let her breasts satisfy thee at all times.--Pr.5:19

The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.--Pr.20:30

YEAH. What a neat cult book. Inspired by a god? Puh-leez.
