Yes you do need a passport. Apply through the local post office and they will answer all your questions. If you are in a great hurry you can go to a passport office. Show them your tickets and have all your photos and documents together and they can make things happen very quickly. The lines are usually horrible and if you can make an appointment, you should. if you are going to Canada check out this site.www.gonorthwest.com/Visitor/planning/border/border.htm - it will give you a good idea what is necessary for the other borders as well

You need your passport and fast. i know there are places that can put a rush on passports getting back to you in like 2 weeks. Mine took 2 months to get back to me without rush. so........

Short answer, yes. You don't NEED to have one if you are traveling to Canada or Mexico by boat, but it's a very good idea - and starting in 2008 you will need one for that too.

Yes you do. When my husband and I got our passports for Europe last year, they told us that we would now need them to visit Canada.

YES! And you need them before you go. Right now there is an insanely long waiting list. It will take 6-8 weeks.

Start looking into this now.
