My bf and I both can't dance. Like we can dance to stuff that HAS it's own dance (like the cotton eye joe, macarana, electric slide, cha cha slide) We have been to dances and stuff together but we just hang out and dance to those dances I named above. but we just don't know how to dance to a song that really doesn't have any dance moves. he doesn't know that i really want to dance with him, but when my friends tell me to dance with him (right in front of him) i say i can't dance and he says me neither so he knows i can't dance. i know i'm repeating myself but i really don't know what to do. there's an end of the year dance thursday and i just want to know like how to dance! i know its kinda hard to explain with words...but like just advice like "just let the music flow through u" or "don't let anyone else judge u"

if i just answered my own question tell me!

they do have dance classes that teach you how to dance. and you shouldn't let anyone else judge you. no ones a perfect dancer they all had to learn to dance. just do what you feel national for you and your boyfriend and don't let anyone else tell you different.

Well, forget the end-of-year dance on Thursday as it is too late unless you can pull off the dancing in the garden or behind a curtain in the alcove like they put in the movies. Instead, ask the guy if you and he could take some classes in ball room dancing together (and find them before asking) You apparently can move with the music, so you need to move together. That means you both need to learn how to get out of each other's way and how to communicate with each other while dancing - which is commonly referred to a "leading" - but also includes talking to each other and giving touch feedback.
Two good practiced dancers who have never danced with each other will normally be able to dance well with each other and enjoy each other's company while dancing because they share the common methods of dancing: an extra touch on the back, a grip of the hands, a single word. The guy moving his hand down from the mid back to the lower back prepares for a more vigorous turn which is initiated with a gentle push on the joined hands.
And dating couples (or spouses) are normally allowed more intimate contact while dancing than unrelated dancers should try because legs between legs, etc., can be abusive.

i thik you guys should dance together if you can before the part and see how that goes. You all should just get out there and go your thing..move how you wanna move, what ever you feel like doing.
