It's hard for people to ignore the bashing because you insist on telling people how ridiculous everything but Christianity is. I'm a Muslim and every time I posted something everyone Muslim AND Non-Muslim would give some pretty good answers and respond in a dignified manner. Meanwhile I would have a christian throwing verses at me like im supposed to understand them..
I'm not saying Christians are bad.. I have many friends who are, it's the select few who really just don't make sense.
A word on the Bible.. Christians take up more then half of this country to statistically has to be the most sold book. and its bought so much because people actually want to learn something new.
On the other hand... The bible has been changed so many times I don't couldn't understand the context if I wanted to. Meanwhile not a word from the Quran has ever been changed.

No I don't Though I am an Atheist I have many friends who are Christians. Bashing Christians is stupidity. Disagreeing with them and bashing them is not the same. People follow the teaching because they believe that the Bible is true and it is you who are the big lie. And you are only babbling as for as they are concerned. Anyone can do that against any book. It's just stupid to do so. BB

I dont understand your question. Are you against Christians or for them. My brother is going to college to became a pastor. He wants to specialize in youth ministry. Christians read the bible, but they read the new testament. The new testament is about Jesus Christ. The old testament was before Jesus. It was about God. Then God gave Mary Jesus and God sent Jesus to help all of the people that were undesirable. God sent his only son to die for our sins. Then he rose again. Christians dont believe in baptism until you are of age to except Jesus Christ as your Lord and savor. Iam still confused about your question. They believe in the bible. They just do there teachings threw the new testament. You really need to add more details to your question. One minute it seems you don't like Christian's, and then on the other hand you do. I personally believe in the bible, and God. I think that Christian's can definitely make other religions question there own beliefs. They have alot of evidence to back them up. I have seen my brother do it to people. Christians believe that there religion is the only true one. Well I am sorry if I didn't answer your question right. Good Luck Iam seeing that many people believe the bible has changed threw the years and thats wrong. It is hard to understand some things that are in the bible, but its never to late to learn. You can ask questions. The key thing to remember is faith. Do you have faith in Jesus? Some say no. Some say yes. Some people say how can we believe in something thats not real. Well let my ask you something. When you go to sit on a chair do you check out the chair to make sure it will hold you. No you have faith in the chair and you just sit right. You dont personally know the person who made the chair. So why is it we have faith in things like chairs, but not Jesus. People also pray wrong. They pray when something bad is happening to them. Havent you ever said oh God please help me and I will never do it again. Thats wrong because god wants you to pray all the time. He wants you to go to him with your hardest times, and your best time. And you cant pray and then go out and steal .Its pray verse behavior. All of your life has to change in order for your prays to come true. You will see how much God can help you and what a different life you will live if you just believe.

Just because several billion lemmings jump to their death (most circulated, written about, movies made about, referred to...) does it make it a good decision to follow suit?
That my friend is called the fallacy of argument ad popularum. Please do not use it, because it is a fallacy.
Is it true or is it a lie? Can it not be part both? Is Gone With the Wind truth or lie? Some parts do depict life at that time in the south US during the civil war, yet we know the characters to be fictional. Huckleberry Finn....true or lie? Parts of the book describe real places (Mississippi River), yet other parts are fictional.
This too is a fallacy...argument of the false dichotomy.

How can you tell that the bible was actually written by real prophets and whatnot, when for all reasonings, it could have simply been written over hundreds of years by writers who saw a good novel and wanted to expand on it for a fast dollar - much like thousands of authors today do with series such as "Dune", "BattleTech" and "MechWarrior"?
I find it beneath me to even argue for or against if what is sad in the bible is real or not, because it has been the cause of so many wars over the years and countless death, that the very teachings of it have been lost.
As a final note, I think you will find that christianity and its bible has in fact taken contexts of other religions more than let other religions follow its teachings.
I'm Pagan (okay, aye, I'm a satan worshipping git who is doomed to spend eternity in your fiery depths of hell, if that makes you happy?) and I can tell you with 100% fact, that christian holidays like christmas was developed from the Pagan winter Sabbath (Yule),
- that matrimony of "Tying the knot" is a Pagan practice thousands of years old in which the bride and groom dressed up for their wedding (christians before only wore daily attire)
- and that festivities such as Halloween came about from the Pagan "All Hallows Eve," paying homage to the deceased.
Need I even go on about Pagan being one of the oldest religions in the world (pre-dating christianity by thousands of years) and that christianty was a by-product of the Catholic church only several hundred years ago?

that's because of YECism. If Christianity had no longer spawned that then atheists does no longer be 1/2 so vocal as they are on the mo with regards to Christianity. maximum atheists have adequate of an information of a few technology to work out flaws contained in the arguments for YEC and with the objective to them that's an offense that such numerous human beings have self belief it that they are putting rigidity on the authorities to coach lies in college as pseudo technology

Due to the fact that these
Christians use the Protestant Old Testament which is lacking 7 entire books 2 (Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus/Sirach, Baruch, I Maccabees, and II Maccabees), 3 chapters of Daniel and 6 chapters of Esther may be one of the reasons they ask catholics so many questions.
For the Sola Scriptura this is too bad .
In the 16th c., Luther removed those books from the canon that lent support to orthodox doctrine, relegating them to an appendix. Removed in this way were books that supported such things as:
prayers for the dead (Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45),
Purgatory (Wisdom 3:1-7),
intercession of dead saints (2 Maccabees 15:14),
and intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15).
The lesson, though, is this: relying on the "Bible alone" is a bad idea; we are not to rely solely on Sacred Scripture to understand Christ's message. While Scripture is "given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16-17), it is not sufficient for reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. It is the Church that is the "pillar and ground of Truth" (1 Timothy 3:15)! Jesus did not come to write a book; He came to redeem us, and He founded a Sacramental Church through His apostles to show us the way. It is to them, to the Church Fathers, to the Sacred Deposit of Faith, to the living Church that is guided by the Holy Spirit, and to Scripture that we must prayerfully look.

I for one, do NOT bash Christians, or any other religion for that matter. YOU, yourselves teach me how to treat YOU. If I am treated with respect and acceptance then I treat you the same way. I'm NOT a Christian, I'm a Wiccan. If you "bash" me with your Bible then I am going to pick that Bible upand shred it word by word, line by line, verse by verse, cahpter by chapter and book by book. I would expect the very same form you as well. If I were to "bash" you with MY sacred writings then feel free to rip MY sacred works apart in the same way.
I agree with you on this. No one should attack anyone else for their belief in a particular faith or religion. We should ALL respect each others' beliefs because, fith aside< NO ONE knows which faith truly IS the one true way. Or even if there IS one TRUE way. They may ALL be valid. Deity may be testing us ALL to see if we can figure out the way that brings us the closest to Deity and THAT may be the way to go. The ONLY way to determine this is to die and discover directly from the Creator. However, BASHING each other is certainly NOT the way.
Brightest Blessings,

"Father please forgive them, for they know not what they do."
You can bash Jesus, but He forgives you.
Don't you think that there is a reason that the word of God has stuck around so long. The history of Jesus is not only written in the Bible. Do some research. He shows up in other historical data too. We follow Him because He speaks to us. If you choose love instead of hate, you will find Jesus

I'm sorry, which other religions follow the bible besides the "book" religions?
I mean, even among Christians, you can't agree on what parts to follow, or how.
