1] learn with an applicator, junior size - it's easier, and put vaseline on the end [ lotion or cream might have ingredients not good for your vagina ].
2] aim tampon to small of your back, about 45 degree angle
3] push tampon in all the way to end of applicator
4] push 'plunger'
5] remove applicator
GENTLEMEN: we [ ladies ] don't tell you how to wash your
b***s, so don't comment on tampons.
It's quite obvious you have never inserted anything in anyplace.

I believe the best thing to use is an applicator, like tampax pearl, or something smooth, it helps to push it inside better and will release better than card board applicators, dont be afraid to push a little further in, if it just doesnt feel quite right, but wait a while before taking it out, or it will really hurt the most. Good Luck.

Tampons with plastic applicators slide in really well, "teen sized" are smaller and will make it easier too.

Plastic applicator. You might want to try the really thin ones first and once you get used to them, try the ones for heavier flow.

Try using a plastic applicator, they make it easier. If you still have trouble, ask your mom for advice

its much easier if you have an applicator.
maybe try getting ones with plastic applicators. they slide much easier.
and try smaller sizes at first untill you are confortable. then you can use some of the larger sizes.
hope that helps. =]

Applicator, and if you lubricate the end with lotion or face cream, they slide easier.
