I am trying to help a friend with a Golf tournament, and sponsorship would be helpful. I am looking at Companies like Budweiser, but their guidlines are so complicated. This is a non-profit organizartion, but very much a fledgling organization.

Physically visiting the companies and speaking to someone in person is the best way to secure a sponsor. Be sure to bring official information about your organization with you, so it can be looked over. If you anticipate a long meeting, then call ahead to secure a meeting with someone at least a week or two ahead of time.

Going in person is a huge gesture, especially nowadays.

And don't forget smaller companies... a local sports shop might have a lot to gain from sponsoring a golfer.

Hope that helps!

In the UK 46,000 women and 300 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, so yes it is a predominantly female condition. This explains why most information etc is directed at women. But yes, men need to be aware that as they too have breast tissue, they too can get breast cancer. The more those men who get breast cancer talk about it the better. Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is in fact for women only, but it is not a breast cancer event.
