Hats are surprisingly complicated things.
They keep their wearers warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and sometimes function strictly as fashion accessories. But they also come with etiquette so complex that people have to consult guides just to wear them.
No other article of clothing must be donned, tipped or shed depending on the time of day, the type of event attended, whether the National Anthem is being played or whether a woman is present.
Sometimes hats are removed in elevators, sometimes they aren't. Men must take off their hats during the National Anthem, but women don't. Or do they?
Its considered rude to wear a hat in church.

If you are a female it is okay. If you are a male then take it off when you enter. When they pray you shouldn't have a hat on if you are a man. How does your church feel about it?

It would honestly have a lot to do with the church's denomination. As a general rule though, take your hat off when going inside or at least right inside the door.

I would imagine some people would think not but in my church of over 3,000 members thier are people that show up with hats every day.
God does'nt care about your hat just that you are there. And you are going to church for God aren't you?

that is cultural. Jews have faith having a hat to conceal their head is a demonstration of humility. American Christians see hat as a demonstration of independence or superiority because of the fact in farm existence whilst the yank church replaced into transforming into, in undemanding terms the guy of the domicile wore a hat interior. considering that as quickly as we enter church, God is the top of the domicile, we take hats off. that is much less of a Christian ingredient and extra of a Conservative American ingredient.

It's not ok to enter any building wearing a hat, if you're concerned about etiquette.
It's disrespectful.

if youre a male, wearing a hat is fine, but when you enter into God's house it would kinda be respectful to take it off. But, ifyou dont want to, God will love you JUST THE SAME!

I don't go to church, but I think the general hat rule is a female may keep on her head covering it is it exclusive to females (like if we lived in olden days, a woman could keep on her bonnet) but if she is wearing a unisex hat she must remove it. So if you are a man take it off.
But, really if you want to wear your hat, wear it. :)

You can wear a hat a bar. Go there instead. You'll have a better time.
There is more than one way to waste time and money.
