My bichon puppy is 2.7 lbs at 16wks, while her sister is 4.6 lbs. She is lethargic, although she does have bouts of playfulness. No vomiting, fecal is normal, eats well. She just bega.n walking as though she is drugged, leaning to her left side. (she doesn't always do this) Vet not available till tomorrow.
She is so fragile at her weight that I am concerned about her. Her sister is very rough with her while playing.
Anyone with answers or suggestions would be appreciated.

this sounds like possible sugar drops. give her a little karo syrup in her mouth then put a teaspoon to a pint of water an give it to her as her main water supply ( it wont hurt her sister) if you don't have karo syrup then use honey the same way.
it could aslo be a nerve problem or an earinfection throwing her off center.
Take to the vets as soon as possible
keep her a sister seperated.
Good Luck and i hope it's nothing much.

i would take her to the vet, but i had a rat terrier that did that became lethargic at times and her blood sugar was low. we ended up having to give her 2tbsps blackburn syrup every 2-3 hours to keep her sugar up. .. eventually the problem went away and pedro is a healthy dog today....

This pets sounds as if its sugar level is low,or either she has equalibrum problems of the brain.Place a dab of plain honey on her tongue,as this will raise her sugar level and if that doesn't help,I would have my vet check her for any type of brain disorders.

Well you know the vet will know best.

My advice to you though is to keep her away from her sister until tomorow. You don't have to completely seperate them, only if you are not watching.

Good Luck

Get her to a vet ASAP, those are signs of a neurological problem, that could be deadly!
