Recently my life has gotten very very busy. I don't have much time to do the bigger things I used to do to relieve stress..(meditation, long walks. etc.
I'm wondering what small things you do during the day or night to relieve stress.

Just take deep breaths from time to time to release toxic.

Learn to detach - sometimes we get caught up with our environment and get emotional abt a person, a situation. Dont let anger get into your system. Detach.

Learn to forgive - so that you can move on and not store unwanted emotions in your heart.

Send blessings as much as possible to people, think of them kindly because the good energy will be returned to you.

Pray.

Take a long hot shower or bubble bath before and after work

Watch a comedy show before you go to sleep

Call a friend while laying on the bed after a long day or during your break at work

Listen to some music while working that I find relaxing

Learn to recgonize what the stresses are and which you can ignore or resolve.

Stretch then breathe deeply or take a deep breath and hold it for a few seconds then exhale slowly then repeat two more times. I like deep stretches. Sit on the floor (legs straight) then put one leg over the other, then lean in the other direction so left elbow is on the right knee (or vice versa) then push with elbow and sit up very straight. Keep eyes closed and just concentrate on the really good stretch you get. Then reverse the position and do it again.
I think it's good for clearing the mind, and good on your back.

I have a glass of white wine (one is enough), put on wild music, close my eyes to connect with the rhythms then let my body start to move - just letting it move the way it wants. I put fast, vigorous music on like Sting's "Desert Rose". In between songs, I stretch and beathe deeply, squat to the floor for a thigh stretch, then get ready for the next rhythm.
I feel wonderfully liberated and relaxed after. I sleep better and wake up with a pleasant attitude.

Watch a movie, read a book, sit with my legs up on the wall and breath deeply, drink warm milk with cookies, or sit outside with my eyes closed and focus on losing myself.

Stretching, deep breathing (in thru the nose, out slowly thru the mouth), hot shower (or cold shower depending on the stress) or a quickie.

Play music. Listen to music. I have some relatively angry hobbies too. Do something that makes you happy.
