For the trifecta, you can go to Red Lobster for dinner while wearing your Rayon-Polyester blend blouse and afterwards go home with your same-sex lover for some adult activities.

Actually, I am a Seventh Day Adventist and I don't eat shellfish, pork (including ham, peperoni, bacon, ect.), or any other animal that doesn't have split hooves/chews cud, or any fish that does not have both fins and scales, or any bird that is a scavenger...you get the point. I follow the guidelines given in the Bible for eating meat in the much the same way as the Jews do. If it was unhealthy to eat a pig back then, why wouldn't it be now? I trust God's judgment on this. I don't want to get trichinosis worms...yuck!

Christianity and Homosexuality
Homosexual adj. “of our relating to sexual attraction
toward others of the same sex.”

There is no question about rather or not God has spoken and warned us against homosexuality. There is no question that when participating in homosexual behavior we increase our chances in various diseases including those that will take our lives in the end.

The bible, God’s word, says it is a choice: I know there are some Christians that believe this and some that do not. The reason that I know it is a choice is because God gave us free will. In that awesome responsibility we have the right to choose how we will live. If one of us were to become a nun, such as the late Mother Theresa, it is our choice to give up the lust of the flesh and live a life of sexual purity by remaining a virgin until death. This is the same choice that is given to us in homosexuality. You have a choice to bear your cross or to lay it down and fall into the wickedness of lust with the same sex.

This can be taken into any sexual act of impurity; something that I do not know anyone who has not fallen short of. Let us remember what 1Corinthians 6:9 – 10 says “Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes or practice homosexuality – will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God.”

Reading further down we hit my conviction with God giving us free will. 1 Corinthians 6:12-13 says, “You say, “I am allowed to do anything “, - but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything, I must not become a slave to anything…But you can’t say that our bodies were made for sexual immorality. They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies.”

We are an actual part of Christ’s body. 1 Corinthians 6:15, “Do you know that your bodies are members of Christ?”

In being a part of Christ’s body we are ordered by God to love as Christ would love; which is where the WWJD bracelets, rings, banners, stickers etc…have come from but how many of us really follow the meaning behind the bracelet? John 13:34, “So now I am giving you a new commandment: love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.

No we shouldn’t accept the behavior of sexual immorality rather it is being a homosexual, sex addict, porn addict, adulteress etc….But we are responsible still for ministering and showing God’s grace to all of us that behave in these manners. Let me repeat we are responsible for embracing homosexuals not the behavior but the person as Christ has embraced us so they may make the choice and know Christ. You can read Romans 1:26, 27, Romans 1: 18-32, Leviticus 18:22 and see that the Lord instructs us on these very things.

Holy smoke, dear heart, the Christian bible could "condemn" holier-than-thou fundies for doing all kinds of things in the bathroom that one really doesn't want to hear about...I ain't gonna elaborate...and it would mean zip, nana, nothing. No doubt it worked in the Bronze Age, when the OT was stitched together and a lot of the cats mentioned never existed...Moses, for one...but this is the 21st century and right this moment guys are up in near-space trying their best to get back safely to Earth. Which is more important to our pretty blue rock?

All of the Old Testament laws were for the Israelites, and the laws about food helped keep them healthier than the other nations around them (way before anyone knew what caused disease).
The laws about shellfish and unclean food don't apply to Christians(Acts 10...when Peter was shown by God that all foods are okay; also Jesus taught that only what comes out of a person makes them unclean).
The important laws for Christians to follow are repeated in the New Testament, if they apply.

Acts, Chapter 10, Peter had a vision where he saw a sheet with unclean animals on it and God said "Kill and eat". Peter said "Not so Lord, for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean". The voice answered, " What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common" . In other words, the dietary laws of the Old Testament are no longer in force. However, the ban on homosexual practices is repeated in the New Testament.

well the shellfish was in the old testament, under moses law, so it doesn't apply to us now. the homosexuality stuff might just be paving roads to hell but the bible is interpreted in many different ways so that must leave who is in and who is out up to GOD and not interpretations and opinions.

Sin is sin. I don't think God enjoys any of the sins. Homosexuality, fornication, stealing, murder, lying, gossiping, other "sexual immorality," etc. because they bring about dire consequences on either the perpetrator or the one perpetrated against or both--not God's punishment but life's punishment overtime.

We all sin and none deserve God's love/relationship with us, but that is what Christ's blood is all about. Sadly, many Christians don't know that. We all live by free grace, thus, who is anyone to judge and condemn another. Many people won't even recognize and/or rebuke evil...even when it is obviously evil but are quick to point out another's sin as if they don't have their own.

been there, done that, got the T-shirt

I think we need to realize hell is not the Dante's Inferno version and is more like when we treat others so poorly like the bigotry towards homosexuals by evangelicals, is hell

how can you compare a lack of refrigeration to abominable filthy acts of sex between the same sexes?
The old law covenant was fulfilled with Jesus. It is not followed any more..But the new testament tells men who lie with men to work what is obscene will not inherit the Kingdom of God. And that God gave them up to a disapproved mental state.

yes its wrong but a large part of being christian is accepting that fact that we are sinners. who are we to say what sins are ok to commit and which ones arent. why is lust any different then being gay. acting on homosexual urges is a sin, however, so is telling a lie. if the sin is not effecting other to extreams (like say, murder) then christian society needs to back off. i believe it was jesus who said "take the plank out of your eyes befor you help your neighbor take the splinter out of his"
