Hello:)

What data supports the idea that Global Warming is caused

by humans with big consequences for the environment??

Can you please give me detailed and convincing evidence?

P.s. Please don't write about that human is not the cause of global warming. I just want to know about my question.

What's Known
````````````````````
Scientists know with virtual certainty that:
* Human activities are changing the composition of Earth's atmosphere. Increasing levels of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere since pre-industrial times are well-documented and understood.
* The atmospheric buildup of CO2 and other greenhouse gases is largely the result of human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels.
* A warming trend of about 0.7 to 1.5°F occurred during the 20th century. Warming occurred in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, and over the oceans (NRC, 2001).
* The major greenhouse gases emitted by human activities remain in the atmosphere for periods ranging from decades to centuries. It is therefore virtually certain that atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases will continue to rise over the next few decades.
* Increasing greenhouse gas concentrations tend to warm the planet.
If U.S. govt scientists aren't a reputable enough source in your opinion because you think they all have a Liberal political agenda, you might be thought of as "A Conspiracy Theorist". If that's what you are, do you have any solid evidence or proof that supports your conspiracy theory? Remember, opinions are not evidence.
See the graph in the source. It clearly shows carbon dioxide levels in the air started going up about the same time people started burning coal. And it is going up even faster now that more coal is being burned, and oil too. There is no doubt that people are causing the CO2 increase by burning fossil fuels. Nobody really disputes that. And CO2 is a greenhouse gas. That means it traps heat from the Sun that would otherwise be lost from Earth to space. So it would be expected to cause warming. The only question is how much warming. I don't really see any convincing evidence that it will be a significant amount of warming. Not enough to be a danger to people. But it is a concern. But when we run out of oil and coal, the problem will go away. Of course that WILL be bad for us because our modern technology depends almost totally on energy from coal and oil. So for our own good we need to find other energy sources before oil and coal run out, even if we don't think global warming is a problem.
Professor Augie Auer passed away this week . Born in USA, attended the University of Wyoming for 22 years. Was chief meterologist for the New Zealand Met Service from 1990 to 1998 . He was one of the thirteen founders of NZ Climate Science Coalition. He lived for the weather, dedicated his life to meterology . On the day of his death TVNZ replayed an interview he had done a little while ago where he stated that there was not one shred of evidence to support global warming. The doco on The Global Warming Swindle featured scientists who also took this same view. I know that you can go to Wikipedia and dig out all the reports, charts, graphs and literature supporting global warming from a heap of scientists but they are all government backed scientist. They tell the government that if they fund their little pet projects that they will come up with a way of claiming that money back. Hence the carbon tax that is going to hit us in the pocket.
I spoke to a climate scientist on radio years ago who claimed CFCs destroy ozone and when I asked him how, when CFCs are five times heavier than air he hung up in my ear.
If it's evidence you are looking for, then there is none.
CO2 does not retain heat. Compressed CO2 use on mig welders has to have a heater element attached to the regulator to stop the regulator from freezing up. Dry ice in a household freezer is frozen CO2. Vapour trails from jet aircraft is frozen CO2. From some of the letters I've seen on here some people are getting ready now for when the world will end. Out of all the people living on this planet now, not one of them will see the end. This global warming is all hype and will be proven to be so and for all those of you that say it's not, will you have you hand out and want your money back. I bet you'll be the first in line.
Of course, but remember it is a THEORY. In science, many times there is no way to prove it, but you do your best to make proper assumptions and extrapolations using the data you have, and come up with the best possibility.
That is where we are now. Some interpret data one way and others interpret it another. As we get more data, we will know more. You need to study the data and papers available with an open mind and come to your own conclusion.
Just do some searches on the internet.
There's a mountain of evidence, the best source is the second link. You won't (and shouldn't) be convinced by my words. Understanding this takes the details in the links. And it takes time (days, not hours) and effort. Coming to a snap decision based on political nonsense or "logical" arguments without data is easy.
Here's two summaries of the large mass of scientific data. The first is short, but informative, with peer reviewed references. The second is 1000 pages long, has 150 authors, and hundreds off references to the scientific literature. You might download a chapter of particular interest to you, to see the authoritative detail.
A theory is "proven" in the scientific community when the community says it is proven. There's no "Supreme Court" to say what's proven, and there are always a few skeptics. Global warming is proven:
It's all speculation and theory...there is more evidence that this is a normal global warming..man is only causing a minuscule change...there is fossil evidence that Antarctica was a lush rain forest at one time.
There are many reasons for the change...from space anomalies to someone farting.
This scare tactic is to make money and dictate lifestyles...nothing more.
data? data? we don't need no stinkin' data! the debate is over. stop asking for data. just sell your SUV and shut up.
