Take your dog to the vet!

If this has been going on for 3 days, you really need to get some professional help now.

It is VERY important to seek medical attention for any animal suspected of being ill, however, with puppies (this includes your 4 month old dog) it is exceedingly important. Small puppies can become dehydrated very quickly from vomitting and diarrhea, and this can lead to serious complications. Your vet will probably want to start your puppy on fluids, as well as determine what has caused this change in health.

Sometimes vomitting and diarrhea will clear on its own, and sometimes it is a sign of a serious illness. For instance, unvaccinated puppies can become infected with the canine parvovirus (with symptoms including vomitting and diarrhea), which is a very serious and fatal disease. However, there are numerous reasons that your puppy may be ill - and only a vet can determine the exact reason.

Hey hun, I am a Vet Tech and I would highly recommend that you bring your baby along with a sample of his diarrhea to the vet as soon as you can.

Three days is a long time for a pup to be that ill. Please offer him plently of water, do not let him get dehydrated. I would pull up his food, bones, or anything else he could swallow (pieces off toys). His stomach needs a rest, however, make sure he is drinking!!! Poor guy!!

Be prepared to answer the following questions:
1) When did the vomiting/diarrhea start?
2) Eating/drinking/acting as normal?
3) Did he eat anything innappropriate? (sock, stick, garbage, etc.)
4) Have you changed anything recently- food, toys, bones, treats, etc?
5) Don't forget to bring a fecal sample! Your vet should run two tests with his diarrhea: 1) fecal exam for parasites and 2) Giardia snap test.

Good luck! Let me know how he does. Feel free to contact me with any other questions.

Since this has been hapening for three days already, I would take him in. It could just be a virus, but it is always better to be safe. If he is throwing up as well as having diarrhea (runny feces) he is obviously not retaining what he eats, therefore not getting his nutrients. Schedule an appt. asap and try to bring in a something for a fecal exam (poop) to allow them to look for worms, it's always better to be safe than sorry. Also if he eats table scraps, stop that and keep him on a consistent diet now, and until he gets better.
Best wishes for a fast recovery

After 3 days - he needs to see a vet. It's not that uncommon for a dog to vomit or have diarreah here and there, but if it is consistent then they need medical attention. Maybe nothing but worms, but the only way to get rid of worms is medication.

Be sure to get him to the vet first thing in the morning.

Again!
If you know something is wrong with your pup, why are you asking us here, instead use common sense and call the vet.

Honestly, three days is way too long for a dog to be vomiting and loose stool.

He is probably dehydrated and needs medical attention.

Please call the vet ASAP!!

Take him to the vet. Loose stool is signs of something that wont pass. You might want to take a sample with you because the vet is going to ask you for one.

I'd take him to the vet.
Just to make sure nothing terrible is happening.
I've heard cases of just the runs and vomiting, and it turns out the be pretty bad.
Go take him in ASAP.
*If you have changed his diet, that could cause it also*

Good Luck!
&& Hope the dog gets feeling better!

The general rule is if it does not stop in 48 hours, you should see the vet.
