I know that "shut up" ain't even a real argument to begin with, but it just gets annoying when I have nothing to say back. Any good lines or comebacks?

open up. lighten up. the truth will speak no matter how hard anyone tries to silence it. shut up tup what i said if you can. mouths are like trap doors once in a while you need to use them.a mouth is like a ringing phone which can save someone from the gallows. do not try the master of opionionups as the master can make more than you. try the slangman and you will wind up playing the answering version of hangman, words are not meant to be shut up like a prisoner sent up by up by a judge. and if someone calls them smartaleck then just say '' the words of Alec i cannot see them what happened to them '' then ''know the were sent up the metaphorical prison in Alec's mouth.''

I worked with a girl that said that ALL of the time! It is super annoying. I don't think there is a come back, if anything, let the person know the lack of class that they are showing by repeatedly using that phrase. Good luck with that one.

well it doesnt offer much for a comeback considering its just shut up.
so u could comment on what a crappy argument it is. like "oh wow. shut up? how long did it take u to come up with that? did ur mom help u? two whole syllables. dont hurt urself now" layer it on or keep it simple u know.

im usually the arguement type which means when someone says sh!t to me ill definately get into your face..but sometimes mann when someone says that alot to you and you respond back that means that they start enjoying saying that you and if you keep quiet or you dont pay attention to that person and keep talking then theyll lose the fun, theyll stop saying shut up or whatever cuz you dont respond back so it looks like its not bugging you.

Why do you need a comebak? So you can be as childish as them? What are you doing for them to tell you to shut up? Maybe you need to shut up. Ever think that just walking away without acting 5 like they are is the best way to deal with it?

Tell them they're an ignorant twit...cretin...moron......dimwit...Take your pick. Tell them to shut their piehole. Tell them to stop flappin their jaws.
Tell them their a gas bag. A bag of wind. A bore. Yawn loudly. Say, "I can't hear you." Repeat over and over, "I can't hear you.
Best thing to do is to avoid them if possible.
