Yes it is bad to teach your kid to flip people off. My mom was just in Dillards one day looking at clothes. She just glanced at the little girl standing near her, and the kid flipped her off. Mom didn't even do anything wrong. i don't think you should teach your kids that.

Of COURSE it's bad!

Like it or not, it's very, very hard to get anywhere in this world without GOOD MANNERS. Swearing and flipping the bird are TERRIBLE manners.

Teach manners instead -- you and your kid will never be sorry.

It's definitely not an activity that I would condone.
Here's an alternative for when you're in the car and grumpy... Have the kids give the offending driver the "Care Bear Stare." It's quite entertaining and non offensive. LOL

I can't believe I'm answering this question. Of course it's a bad idea. It's an ugly thing to do and teaching your child to be disrespectful to anyone, for any reason is irresponsible.

As a parent it is very irresponsible. "Flipping the bird" shows signs of ignorance. If you continue to teach your child bad habits such as this they will stick. As your child grows s/he will show you less and less respect.

My opinion is that you should let your children learn that method of expression on their own.

They then can decide for themselves if they wish to use this method of free speech. That is really what we are talking about. States that have laws regarding this will eventually have those laws struct down by the supreme court. It only takes someone to challange them.

If you have to debate in your head weather this is exceptable for our youth to be taught, You should seriously take some parenting classes and forget whatever you were taught was right.
