carrots, peppers, celery, mostly veggies, and a couple of fruits, apples, pears, but in moderation!! they could cause pancreatitis when they over due the people food. also no grapes or avacados because they are finding they are toxic to dogs. you can also try taking regular dog food. take out a hand full of kibble and use it as "snacks" for the day. this way it keeps the calories down and theres no extra food involved. good luck!!

Salad with a little fat free ranch.
Just because the dog wants to eat all day does not mean you feed the dog all day. That is the beauty of being higher up the food chain.
This sounds like the dog version to Planet of the Apes.
Just say NO.

Just because the rascal WANTS a treat doesn't mean you have to give it.
My Pyr was driving me nuts wanting to go outside then immediately clawing at the door to come in, and get a treat. In a few minutes it would be the same thing all over again.
Now, Mattie gets no more than three cookies per day, and usually only two. One when she comes in from her first time outside, and the other at bedtime.
Other than that, just break her regular treats in half, or even thirds.

Your dog wants snacks all day because you give them to her. Stop feeding her snacks and she won't get fat.

There are good low-cal snacks available at your local pet store, but you can also look up recipes on the net for homemade (better) snacks. Something crunchy is best it will keep their teeth clean and their breath fresh.

My dog LOVES ice. If your dog isn't crazy about ice, you might try diluting chicken broth (water it way down) and freeze that for treats.
