I almost vomit at the thought that people must go through life without a face or any skin on their legs and arms. will there ever be some sort of cure that helps skin grow back to its normal condition. i certainly hope there is.

they are able to grow sheets of skin in a cloning like process to help burn victims and there are some expensive plastic surgeons who can do a decent job but I doubt we will ever make them look normal.

ALWAYS REMEMBER WE ARE WHO WE ARE ON THE INSIDE!!! IF MY FACE WAS BURNED I WOULD STILL BE THE STRAIGHTFORWARD, HONEST, LOVING PERSON I ALWAYS WAS. I HAVE BURNS ON MY ARMS (FROM A RESTUARANT) & MY WIFE OF 10 YRS, STILL THINKS I AM THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN THE WORLD. AS FOR ADVANCES IN WHAT IS CONSIDERED TO BE A COSMETIC PROBLEM, THEY'RE PROBABLY LAST IN LINE IN FEDERAL FUNDING. THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS THE PAIN FACTOR. IT IS ROUTINELY OVERLOOKED (SO TO SPEAK) THAT THE MAJORITY OF INTENSE BURN VICTIMS ARE IN CONSTANT PAIN... FOR A LONG TIME. THIS CAN & OFTEN DOES LEAD TO DEPRESSION WHICH IS WORSENED BY APPEARENCES. PLEASE DO NOT SHY AWAY FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN DISFIGURED. THEY ARE STILL THINKING FEELING PEOPLE WHO NEED & DESERVE COMPASSION, NOT PITY!!!
