I had surgery to remove a tumor in the back of my knee/leg a week ago. I am in a knee immoboilizer for 3 weeks. Are there exercises I can do to help strengthen my leg/knee while i'm on bed rest for 3 wks?

Hello, I am a therapist. It sounds like he doesn't want you to move it for 3 weeks. Hence the knee immobilizer and bed rest. In 3 weeks he should refer you to a physical therapist to start exercises. In the meantime, I would not do anything unless your doctor has stated otherwise. You do not want to harm your knee. He said that for a reason. He must have had to go deep and it needs to heal from the inside out. Be safe, not sorry. I pray for your quick recovery.

If you are immobilized I doubt the Dr would want you to do
much in the way of exercises yet. You should call him or her
and ask just how much you can do. If you are lying in bed just
stretching your leg is a good exercise and you can feel the pull. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Not particularly a well notion to randomly ask for publish operative physical games, above all with out adding what surgical procedure you had and the way some distance you have got come to your remedy. Check together with your health care provider to look what he/she recommends.

Your dr should have discharged you with this information. If you are immobilized, it may not be smart to do exercises until told.
