I have been with for a little over year. We have been living together for about 4 months. About a month and a half ago he basically lost his mind. He got fired from his job which really stressed out our relationship. We got into a huge fight one night and we "broke up" (we all know how that goes). He took off until 4 am. When he came back I discovered that he slept with one of his ex clients (who happens to be 47 and hes only 22). This absolutely crushed me because he was such a great guy! He did everything a wonderful boyfriend would do. I moved my things out within 2 hours of this discovery, he left as soon as I discovered his dirty little secret in fear that my older brother was going to kick his a**. Well I went back to our place later that evening to get a few of my things I accidentily left behind and he was there which I was not expecting (I thought he would have been with "her"). Well he cried and cried and begged me for another chance but I didnt give in.

But about a week later I did end up taking him back after hours of him begging for my forgiveness and such. I thought I would be able to get over what he did but I just cant! The problem is that I feel horrible because he has been trying SOOOOOO hard for the last month to make it up to me. He has a new job, does ALL of the housework and everything. I love him but I cant get over what he did. How can I ever trust someone again who did that to me, right? I thought I could be able to but things get harder everyday instead of easier. How do I end it gently? How do I tell him that he has got to go back home to his parents? (which is the LAST thing he wants) HELP!!!

Oh no don't give in. I think you should give him some time to sort out his problems and some of yours also. and if you still love him after some time you can check how he's doing. Good luck dawnmelody=)

If he cheated on you because of a fight he does not really love you. I love my fiance more than anything and if we got into a fight i would never cheat on him and i fully trust that he will never do it to me. He does not deserve gently, get it over and done with and move on. You are so much better than that, and you will always have it in your mind that he will cheat if you two fight and you will be walking on eggshells for the rest of your relationship. that is no way to live.

breaking up with someone is never easy and no matter how nice about it u r he is going to b crushed. just b honest and tell him that u tried to get over what happened but u cant and u want to end things. its going to hurt but u cant always be thinking about whether he will cheat every time u get into a fight. u will just be miserable

I guess if you really want to break up with him then tell him you are ready to move on and dont call. dont return for things you left behind, dont associate with him in any way.
Get the hell outa dodge and move on.
PS Adults dont need older brothers to kick anyones ***, its really not all that. Sounds like you need to get over him.

Good for you don't give in.

There is no way to break up gently. There is only break up and then eventually you learn from it.

You don't. Gently gives him hope. If you want it over, make sure it's final.
