Of course you can.

male dog x female cat = dat
male cat x female dog = cog

But you cannot breed either one. Like mules they are infertile.
Dats are rarer as the female cat doesn't really appreciate a male dog on her back but female dogs are all bitches and they don't mind doing it doggy style with a cat.

No way! It is kind of the same as humans, can you see a human breeding with a lion. it isn't possible. If it was, you would have really odd looking babies!

I would say through DNA but other wise i dont think the cat or dog is going to jump up on each other any time soon and start breedng.

Not really. But my cockapoos are probably very similar to what the result of breeding the two animals together would be: they have the cuddly cute characteristic of the kitten and the idol worship for me. You can't beat it!
