I say, "May the Force be with you".

Funny question.

I like to go off on a long winded explanation of how "God bless you," was just the ignorant Middle Ages people believing that when you sneezed you were RELEASING DEMONS from inside of your being.

So, when someone says "God bless you," I give them a little background as to why, even if they are Christians, that phrase should have been dead and gone by now.

Hun, I'm a Christian...but I do not say God bless you when another sneezes. No Sir. I am suthern, through and through, so I say 'Scat Cat!' and stomp my foot!

(and in case you cannot figure it out...allergies!)

I say "bless you". And I'm an atheist. It's a common phrase, that doesn't mean anything religious to me when I say it. Much like when I say Godd****t, Jesus F*****g Christ and Christ on a Bike.

HA! That's funny. I normally use the Dutch "gezondheid" or the German "gesundheit" or whatever.

Are you seriously a religionist? I ask because this question shows unusual humor for such a person.

I could say 'I hope you haven't got bubonic plague' but often it's best to stick with meaningless formulae.

I doubt it.

I say "bless you", because it is just a social colloquialism.

Would you believe we actually say "Bless you?" It's true. We've even been known to say "Amen," "Hallelujah, " and *insert gasp*, "Merry Christmas."

Will wonders never cease.
