I've been wondering the same thing myself. Why drink another species' milk? And why drink it long after the infancy stage?
You don't see other creatures doing that - elephants drinking giraffe milk....animals drinking milk after they're adults.
I'm sure you'll get some posts saying that cow's milk is 'better' for us than other milk, but that's a load of bs. Cow's milk is practically nutritionally bankrupt until it's processed. The "vitamins" and "minerals" are added after the milk is collected.

The milks of different animals have different ratios of fats and proteins. Cow's milk is close to human milk in terms of these percentages. Cow's milk has a bit less fat, a little less sugar and about 3 times the protein. However human milk had more vitamins, minerals and antibodies, the real question is why can't we find any of this in the store.

Cause the damn monkeys won't sit still long enough to be milked. And also it's not economically profitable. One cow produces lots of milk, one monkey - not so much.

I agree with all other answerers, but probably it is simply because noone has ever started to do that. In some countries other kinds of milk are also common like goat's, camel's and horse's.

Cows don't climb trees, nor do they screech & throw poop at you when you try to catch them. I imagine that has some influence on our choice of beverage, as a species...
