this is what i did i got a spiral
i wrote what i ate and how many calories i ate 1400 Calories
i exercised starting a15 min slow run then i added 5 min every month until i got to 30
or if u don't run do a brisk walk and keep adding time
get a list of sites like bmi counters fun recipes etc.
also give yourself one day every 20 days to eat as much as u want
when u go to a restaurant take half off ur plate and put it in a box so u can eat later
eat all the food groups even fat in moderation
from 4 to 8 cups of water tea or coffee
set goals and tackle two or 3 at a time
give yourself present for every 5 to 20 lbs u loose get yourself a pair of jeans or something
remember it is a change of lifestyle not a diet
if at some point you need to crash diet do not do it for more then 20 days but i do not recommend this
try to keep it off forever
play your a so am i

If you're serious about this, then go and see a doctor.
You're only 12, which means that your body is still growing quite rapidly, and you need to get the correct nutrition, so cutting out meals isn't an option. Neither is going on an 'Adult' diet, as these don't allow for the growing body.
My advice is to speak to your parents, then a doctor or a nurse, and see if they can suggest an appropriate diet that's safe for you.
You should, of course, then exercise more to help keep the weight off.
Hope this is some help

You're doing great! If you lose weight now, you're going to be short when you grow up! I'm thirteen and a giant in the land of short people, and I know a lot is about genetics, but it's smart to have a little weight. If I were you, I'd put some on!

Tell your parents! Let them know you are interested in a healthy lifestyle. Ask them if you can go to your Doctor for a nutrition plan. If your parents give you a hard time start to take out diet books from the library and learn about nutrition yourself (actually you should do that regardless). You're young you can go and play outside! Ride your bike around the neighborhood, go jogging, take long walks, play basketball take advantage of the summer time. But make sure your parents understand what you are trying to do. They should help you. Drink a lot of distilled or purified water (it cost 74 cents at Wal Mart for a gallon) Good luck.
One more thing: if all else fails CUT YOUR MEALS IN HALF. EAT ON SMALLER PLATE DON'T SKIP MEALS JUST CUT BACK ON HOW MUCH YOU EAT AND EXERCISE MORE.

ok, here is what you can do. eat a healthy breakfest. in like another few hours have a small healthy snack, like a granola bars, and half an apple. have a healthy lunch. then a few hours later have another healty snack. then when you get home have dinner. you dont have to finish everything on your plate if you cant. drink a lot of water. a galon a day if you can. walk for at least one hour a day, more if you can. but dont skip Breakfest, thats what starts your Metabolism each day. and you'll have more energy throw out the day. dont have any junk food, soda, candy. you my treat yourself one day out of the month to eat out, but its just one meal. i use to weight about 260lbs. and i have done this for 6 months and i now weight about 235lbs. if you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me. hope i helped you out. take care and dont give up.

well it all depends on ur body type. cause i mean, if youre like tall then thats fine! but if youre really worried about your weight, then sit down with your parents and ask them to cook some healthier meals, and maybe incorperate a little more excercise in your daily schedule. also if u enjoy cooking, ask to cook a couple times a week so you can decide what to make!

go outside and play sports or games. Run around and don't eat dinner, just breakfast and lunch, and make sure both meals are really healthy. Plus drink lots of water.

liquid diet.
any liquid. No special shakes or anything. Just liquids. And that includes soup. That doesn't mean you can stick doughnuts in the blender. Anything that was a liquid when purchased at the store. I lost 10lbs. in 2 weeks!
