it's like if i'm holding a 32 ounce water bottle, i'll feel like a "pull" in my elbow. if i'm typing at work, and extend my arm while moving the mouse, i feel the "pull".
i don't know that i'd say it hurts. it's kinda like...a cold skinny straw is between my elbow joint. as long as i hold that water bottle, i feel it.
i've never had any joint issues. i am 43 years old though. i did break my elbow when i was around...8?
any ideas? i know i could go to the doctor, but i hate to pay the co-pay and find out it's no big deal. ya know?

i'm hearing arthitis, but would that just be in my right elbow? does it only attack one joint?

It's hard for me to choose a best answer right now since I am trying a "combo" method. A hot soak then ice, support bandage, medication...
It was between Milmom and Dogbetter. I'm gonna have to go with Milmom though. it seems like this is computer related. I started a new job almost a year ago and am typing damn near all day. I've never been on the computer for most of the day and I had no issue prior to the job change. Thanks to everyone!!

It sounds like tendonitis.. I usually soak my arm in hot water then throw some ice on it after a couple days and some aspirin it goes away. The biggest culprit is typing on the computer.. it got so bad I couldn't lift my grandbabies..
I now rest it and do the above and it's much better.

Tendonitis...Tennis elbow....Golfers elbow, are all pretty much the same. I've had tennis elbow for nearly a year and I know its no picnic. If you dont want to see a real doctor the dogbettor suggests that you go to a pharmacy and see the area where they sell braces. supports. ace bandages , etc. You will find a strap for tennis elbow. Wear it just below the elbow with the buckle on the outside part of your fore arm, that's exactly where it hurts. The tendon attaches at the little bone on the outside of your elbow. This strap will ease the strain on the tendon from movement of the lower arm and hand. When it feels better take the strap off BUT dont lose it. The pain will be back, you'll need it again. The best relief is a cortizone shot, but that too is temporary.

While I am twenty three years older than you I have learned a lesson in the past few years.

Once you have ever injured a joint, sometime later in life it will show up again.

Let me make a suggestion. Sling the elbow for a few days and see if that helps. It could be that a tendon is out of its track. I had three come out of their tracks in my right knee a few years ago and some of your description sounds quite similar. I would sling it to rest it, take ibuprofen to help any inflammation or swelling, ice it also.

If after a week it isn't any better, break down and pay the co pay at the orthopedist.
