I have just taken a quick look at other Travel lands under continental Europe and seen that none of them, I repeat none, seem to have such polemics, fights and discussions between the users like on the Turkish one.
Is this a kind of unstated rule? The fact that you write all the junk in Turkish doesn´t make it any better. Could this section be freed from all the hatred, allegations, bashing and stupid questions with no relevance to travel please?

HI!
It´s fine to have a meeting place here, it´s fine to ask and talk about politics, or anything else. let I think it´s a nice sign that Turks, Arkadaslar & Co. are social, which just mirrors the truth.

I find that it´s gotten out of control a bit - real arguements are happening. What´s the point here guys? We all agree, or we all disagree, or somewhere inbetween: so what??

Some of the discussions have been rather interesting.... well some. But there has been too much "bashing" of others. I don´t take it personally if someone disagrees with my point of view. I DO mind, however, if they have to put me down for thinking this way.

To be honest, I hardly look at this section anymore. Maybe some say, "good riddance", fine. I also know of others who are tired of it. So go on and have your little fights, if you want. But try to remember this section will give outsiders an insight as to what Turkey is really like. Are you happy with the image you are portraying? It´s up to you.

I was keep on talking about that issue. I really don't understand what's going on. Couple of other friends posted that subject and many other confirmed that they don't like the present situation. On the other hand, whenever I answered a question which was unrelated to travel or Turkiye syaing that wrong cection and etc, I got many thumb downs.
I gave up in the end.

About meaningless discussions/fights etc i agree. But i don't see any harm about the other questions. Moreover, Turkish section has become a special kind of meeting point i think.

If you are concerned about the people want to get know turkey via this section, are getting proper answers also.

I don't mind the questions that don't pertain to Turkish travel, but I don't like the political or stupid questions/answers that people state. And I'm also afraid that there is nothing we can do to stop the illogical people on here.

We are blocking stupidity out. Irrelevant questions donot bother me. I dislike the racist banter of "kim olduğunu bilirsin, ama trolleri beslemek için söylemiyorum", but I dislike Turks who reply racist banter with racist banter more. We are supposed to be better, aren't we?
