If men aren't coming your way, it is 1) not your time to be in a relationship or 2) you are subconsciously keeping the men away. Do you take care of yourself and look approachable? If not, work on that. Men are visual creatures, so make yourself visually pleasing (on your own terms). Also, my advice would be to start doing things for yourself that make you feel good. Maybe start getting pedicures on a regular basis. Get a new hairstyle. Start working out. These things make you feel good. And, when you feel good, you seem to put good vibes out there, that others can pickup on.

And, stop stressing over it. When God is ready, He will bring the right person along. In the meantime, get yourself prepared so that when your prince charming steps to you, you are ready to accept what he has to offer!

Girl Looking For Love

First off, you are no fat. The point that you are calling yourself fat, means you don't love yourself. You have to learn how to do this before you can let someone into your life. You are smart, funny, and cool.. make that your platform, not your size. They are mean out there that loves meat on some bones, and if they don't they can stick with the skinny females ( no offense). If you want to lose weight do it for you, not to get men. Because if that is the case, they weren't men at all, just boys. You know you are cute, each morning get out of bed, and say "hello sexy" or "hello cutie".. when you start believing that, others will as well. Walk with your head high, and know that you are just as good as any other female. Have the mentality, "Look out men, here I come". Don't go anywhere expecting to find someone, just live life, and what you want will come into your path when you are ready !

I agree with the poster who suggested that you should lose weight. I am also in the process of losing weight, so I know how hard it is. But I think that the hardest part is getting a good start. You should start today to change all of the things that you are doing wrong which are keeing you at a weight that is not only a problem for getting dates, but a problem for your health.
I think that everyone who is overweight would really like a weight loss program which allows them to keep living their lives the way they are now living. You just have to make up your mind that that is not going to happen. You probably know the mistakes you are making as far as food choices. Just make up your mind to make different choices.
And you absolutely have to get more exercise. However much you are exercising now, it is not enough if you are 5' 5'' and 260 lbs.
You can do this. And once the pounds start dropping off, you will be inspired to keep it up.
You owe this to yourself.
Good luck.

Lower your standards. I'm not saying that in a mean way. Let me explain, instead of wanting someone under 40 with no kids maybe you should try dating someone under 40 with just 1 child or maybe under 45 with 1 child. Being realistic you wont find too many men 40 and under with no children unless he's like way under 40 (21 or so). I take it you must not have any kids and I can understand not wanting to date anyone with kids I'm just saying that it makes u finding someone special a little harder.

Have you tried using one of the BBW sites? Would you consider dating interracially? Would you consider dating a big man? (Trust me there's plenty of big sistas that wouldn't give a big brotha the time of day). There's plenty of ways to meet men. But you can't go at it like you're trying to find a husband. Men really can sense that. Just like women can sense when a dude just wants some sex.

Just be a little more relaxed in your requirements. I'm sure you'll find someone.

You've just got to keep in the game. You may be feeling down because of your self image, and if you feel it is necessary to change the way you look, then by all means. But don't get discouraged when things start looking grim, such is the game not only of dating, but of life. There will be many trials in your life that will test your endurance and dedication. Don't just up and quit on yourself. It's a dog eat dog world out there, and unfortunately, people can be very insecure and vain, and very judgemental, so do what you deem is necessary for you to start finding better dates. But just don't fall out of the race.

Well, love will come to you when it comes and I'm not saying that you are fat, but maybe start eating healthier food and you will get a man who loves you and adores you. don't worry.

Do your grocery shopping with a list and an occasion limit; that way, you're less likely to stray into the highly processed foods section.
