I suppose most people still have the image of Jesus from an illustrated Children's Bible stuck in their minds. Jesus is all sweetness and light and he loves children. Further when mentioning the horrible things in the O.T. some will try and say that the New Testament is not as bad. Yet Christians also expect you to believe that Jesus was there from the very beginning and that the passages in Genesis referring to "us" refer to the trinity etc. So Jesus was there with the O.T. God and he commanded the killing of women, children, animals and frequantly complete genocide. Further far worse than the O.T. God he actually want's to turn the world into a slaughter house in Revelation and he condemns millions of people to eternal damnation. Frequent New Testament passages refer to Jesus as not bringing peace but the sword. Of him wanting to set the world ablaze and can't wait to do it. He acts aggressively and judges others calling them "serpents" and "dogs".

Referring to the incident with the Cananite women. People praise his teachings as good. Yet they are neither really unique or sublime. Is Jesus overrated. Why do people think he is all sweetness and light. Clearly he and his father if they were to exist are enemies of mankind.

He rides in to exterminate evil? Perhaps things are defined as evil as a sort of political smear campaign. Demonize those that question you. Turn them into devils and anti-christs.

Ha! he is afraid of scrutiny. He will condemn any that question him to hell.

I've always had a problem with the Christian view of what is basically revenge on those considered sinners. If indeed there is a God that prefers "sinless" over "sinner", and if indeed that God is "almighty", and if indeed that God is a "loving" god, then why can't he make the "sinner" sinless and just forgive everyone? God is supposedly responsible for creating these "sinners" in the first place, so He shares responsibility for their "sins". BTW the freewill argument is worthless, you can't have it both ways, there cannot be an almighty God and freewill, the two are anathema.

If you caught a serial child rapist befriending your young daughter, what would you call him? I bet it would be far worse that serpent or dog. That is how strongly Jesus feels about the people pretending to be His messengers while actually misleading people. By the way, Jesus condemned the god of Moses as satan. Wise up, believe Jesus not Moses.

Jesus is just, true and righteous.
P.S. The first time Jesus came to this earth is was to save man, not to condemn him. The next time will be judgment day. The sword Jesus brings in Revelation is the Word of God. He speaks truth with blazing conviction.

It sounds like you have a lot of issues with a being you don't believe exists. Is it because in the light of the glorious gospel you can see your sin? That's the way it's supposed to be anyway.

The Word in the Beginning, at His Birth, and at the battle of Armageddon -

In the Beginning -

Jn.1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (Jn.1:14).

Jn.1:2 The same (Word of God) was in the beginning WITH God (Jn.1:1 above).

Jn.1:3 All things were made by him (the Word of God); and without him was not any thing made that was made.

The Birth of the Word of God/Jesus

Jn 1:14 And the Word (Jn.1:1-3 above) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Re.12:5 And she brought forth a man child (Jn.1:14 above, Matt.1:21 below), who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron (Re.19:15 below): and her child was caught up unto God, and [to] his throne.

Matt.1:21 And she shall bring forth a son (Re.12:5 above)., and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The Word of God at the battle of Armageddon

Re.19:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God (Jn.1:1-2, Jn.1:14 above).

Re.19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron (Re.12:5 above): and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

that sword of truth cuts both ways. and it will effect many, including christians. when the transition to the spirit body takes place at the 7th trump...ALL Flesh will be gone and burned up....gonna be messy for sure!

When one has their mind made up they won't accept any answer, no matter how accurate. My suggestion is you take it to the person you malign and ask Him to explain Himself. That's a challenge I took and discovered a great deal I didn't understand.

Mostly because that is how he is portrayed in the mainstream. No one would want to follow someone who is mean to them.

So he rides the white horse to exterminate evil.
It is like criminals who fear the courts and police men.
If you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear.
He rides the horse into battle to destroy evil and those who do it.
How is that different than the others who kill in the name of goodness?
