Yes - technically when someone is granted ammesty, they recieve a "pardon" for their offense and would not have to pay any fines or have other conditions attached to the amnesty.

Going to make out like a bandit, huh? How about when all these folks have legal status and then retire on social security? The problem with social security now is that people draw far more on average than they have paid in. Low-earning people who have already spent much of their working lives not paying into the system will be a real drain.
The Heritage Foundation estimates the cost at $2.5 trillion. Really making out like a bandit.

Considering that it isn't amnesty at all, I would say yeah, it should be called something else. Amnesty would mean that they all get to stay. The bill calls for everyone to go back home, pay a fine that they couldn't afford in a million years, and then go through a process that is complicated and expensive. In other words, they pretty much would just be being kicked out, with the exception of a small few of them that have advanced skills. I can't figure out why the anti-immigration crowd is so upset about it. The bill essentially gives them what they want.

yes because i feel amnesty deals with violence, wars and such.
just because someone wants to have a better life shouldn't be so hard.
maybe the world should work at improving their lifes that they wouldn't want to come here.

Oh, now the government is making money on this?
LMAO! There isn't anything you pro-illegals won't say and try.
Let's talk about what the illegals are costing us now.
86 hospitals closed due to illegals using their services and not paying. BILLIONS in welfare and school subsidies.
I could go on, but there is no point. The question is ludicrous.
Build the wall and toss the illegals over it.
