The PS3 doesn't really have any good games out yet and it's still really expensive. It is also losing most of its exclusive games to cross platforming with the XBOX360 and Wii. At this point the XBOX360 would be the best choice between the two.

There are many differences. PS3: has built in blue ray. 360: you have to buy a seperate hd player.
360 has more games
Both are very good machines. The ps3 does cost alot. I'd reccomend getting the 360 it has Xbox Live, ps3 has a horrible version of this service. I have both a 360 and a ps3. I only play my ps3 for motorstorm and for three blue ray dvds I own. Honestly i'd go with the 360 it's alot cheaper. Grab the elite version with the 120gb hdd and hdmi output. You'll be very happy.

XBOX 360. It has a greater selection of games (by a lot) and it has MUCH better graphics. The controller is easy to master and the HD-DVD player is just as good as the PS3's Blue Ray Disc if not better. The 360 also has a more comprehensive and better online play (XBOX Live).

Well, I'll just give you a bunch of tech specs and you'll decide. PS3 has built-in BD-DVD player (360 - you'll need to buy HD-DVD add-on, capacity is lower), 7+1 kernels (360 has 3 kernels), 2 teraflop calculating power (360 has 1 teraflop). Plus, if you've got PSP you can remotely control your PS3 with it or just use as a rear view mirror in some games. PS3 bluetooth controller has gyroscope (reacts on your movements). Personally, after a long search and comparsion I bought myself US 60 gb PS3. Euro version isn't that good.
But decision is yours.

Well since lots of people are gonna come here and say this one or that one. Either one would be a good choice to buy. it depends on what you want really. if you have a HD TV and watch alot of movies and can wait a bit for some decent games to come out,get a PS3. If you want to play alot of good games NOW get a 360. you cant really lose with either one.

that depends, they are both really good systems, the 360 still has better lookin games, but they are also on dvd9 so they are limited in how much better they can get, plus the 360s have high fail rates, but also has more games, but ps3 is free to go online

to tell the truth the ps3 is a definatly better game system alltogether because you have blue-ray,better graphics, and more realistic gameplay. To me the ps3 is a better buy.
