Is My Cat Pregnant?

Question

She has become more affectionate then usual, she sleeps alot, once I found her in the closet, she eats alot more, and she has become heavier.
Is she pregnant? She go's outside and over fences so we never know what goes on over there, but are 2 neighbores have dogs.
So, is she pregnant?

if she is unspayed and goes outside she is probably pregnant. Whether your neighboors have only dogs or not , male cats will find your female in heat. If pregnant her nipples will be more pronounced and a darker shade of pink, but if you want to know for sure take her to the vet. You should get her spayed soon because female cats come into heat often and will come in heat soon after birthing her kittens .

If she will let you put your hand on her belly if she is far enough along you may be able to feel them move try that from time to time throughout the day. Are her nipples changing at all the closer they get to actually having them they start to get ready with milk supply to feed the babies. If she keeps hiding in a particular place that is probalby where she will have them so you might want to put a box or even a wide laundry basket with an old towel and maybe some newspaper for her. If you think she is pregnant make sure that she has plenty of water and food before and after she is going to need it so she can feed the babies.

Have the kittens, be VERY careful who you give them to - try to give them only to friends or trusted people. "Free to good home" ads on your mailbox or in the newspaper are very dangerous because people who want to do bad things with kitties flock to those ads. (Bunchers, pit dog trainers, serial torturers, etc. Worry about the bunchers/animal dealers the most!) Don't trust people just because they bring a kid or a senior along with them. Check them out fully, or you can never be sure your kitten went somewhere safe.

Sorry. I feel really strongly about that - but back to the matter at hand. Yeah. She's probably pregnant. Spay her immediately after the kittens are weaned. She should not have to spend her entire life popping out babies for whom there is no room in the world to start with... =\

And please keep her inside. It's really the best thing an owner can do for their cat.

Well, apperantaly if u at all seen it with males and had heat and check their nipples.They become more promonint and pink in about 3 weeks. If so in about 4-5 weeks your vet will feed your cat a golf-sized in the abdomen. So soon you'll notice the stomache is fully visible.

Well it sounds like she isn't fixed. Why isn't she fixed? And it sounds like she could be pregnant. Cats generally have their babies around 65 days after conception so take her to the vet and have her checked out to see. They can usually approximate a due date, or at least try to.

If your cat is not spayed and has been out then chances are she is pregnant. Gestation period is roughly 63 days after mating. Hope you find homes for all the kittens.

Why would you let an unspayed cat outside in the first place? Yes...very possible she is pregnant if you have not spayed her and you let her roam the neighborhood.

why would you have a cat that is not spayed & especially let it go outside???? how stupid can you be? get her to the vet to find out if she is pregnant or not - no one can diagnose that over the internet. get her spayed!
