kep, so my friend wants me to meet this guy, so i added him to myspace, and i left him a comment...but, from looking at his page, it doesn't look like he's all that smart (he misspells stuff, and his survey says that he didn't get good grades in high school) problem is, i'm a member of the National Honor Society, and I need a guy who can at least hold a conversation. this guy hasn't been to college, and i don't know if he will ever go. should i give him a chance anyway? i'm moving to his town in the fall to go to school there.

You shouldn't judge someone by their myspace. I have friends who misspell words or use slang on their pages and are very smart. And just because he didn't get good grades or is in collge right now, doesn't make in an idiot. Some people just dont apply themselves. I say give him a chance. What could it hurt? You might be missing out on a good thing if you dont. You'll be able to tell after a date or hanging out with him if he's the type of guy for you. Just go into it with an open mind and dont be judgemental. Just becaue your in the NHS doesn't mean you're better or above anyone else. Just go have fun and try it..if he's not for you then at least you gave him a chance and you tried! Good luck!

Sounds like you are already un-attracted to him. No reason you can't go on a date or two, he may just be a fun guy to hang out with. We all need plenty of them in college! I dated a guy in high school who got bad grades, I was Honor roll/National Honor Society. Years later I ran into him. Turns out he makes tons of money now, just had to find something that interested him before he went to college and got serious.

It's unfair to judge a guy that way. Maybe he is very sweet. It would be a shame to not give him a chance because he can't spell well. My little brother doesn't get the best grades, but he's still intelligent. Give the guy a chance.

Can't hurt to meet the guy. You can't base something on a myspace page. Meet him for coffee and then make an informed decision.

It sees as though you have gotten youself a particular standard in life, Why would you want someone that will pull u down. You need somebody that will complement you my dear. And listen to me.............not because u are single it means that you need a guy..............You just continue having fun in life and one special day someone that is really for you will come along.

If he doesn't sound smart, how do you think you sound by asking others what you should do?
