Does folic acid help maintain other vitamins in one's body?

It does in the sense of Iron, it helps maintain red blood cells and iron helps make red blood cells. So it helps not only the red blood cells but iron in this whole process.

I know people with anemia or some short of hereditary anemia like thalassemia.....they say take folic acid because of the rbc's.
