You're really far away from it, but do well in school, get high SATs, get into a good college, do well there, do well on the MCATs, and then you can go to med school and be a pediatrician. Good luck!

Good grades help, but you're looking at a long career in school before you can become a pediatrician. You're looking at finishing high school, finishing college to obtain a bachelors, taking the MCAT to get in to medical school which will last another 4 years and you must have an internship/residency after that. You're looking at around 10-12 years after high school. Like I said, good grades help but if you are seriously thinking about this it's going to take a lot of drive and ambition. If it's just a thought and you don't have a love for it, it may not be worth it.

Yes it's hard, both to get into med school and to succeed in med school. Try to get your grades up to all, or mostly all, A's, and take plenty of science courses. At med school admission time they'd be looking mostly at your college undergrad courses and grades, not so much high school, but you might as well get into a habit of studying hard and doing well. You'd need excellent college grades to have much chance of getting accepted to med school.

Any job where you have to go to med school is hard. I don't want to freak you out, but getting into medschool is one of the hardest schools to get into. Just the test to get in is about 8 hours long. Take AP classes and make sure to volunteer at the hospital. You should ask your counselor.

try to get as good grades as you can, also try to get involved in school/charity activities. when you are in college REALLY strive hard - also, look into the various programs that are offered to help one offset the cost of med school - some States have a 'pay back' program where the new doctor works in the rural areas of the State in return for assistance.
