Okay listen... Im having this dream where I date this guy patrick and like marry him. But I REALLY LIKE MY FRIEND BRENDAN IN REAL LIFE. So im confuse my dreams tell me one thing and my heart another!!!! Maybe I do like patrick? IDONT KNOW! DONT JUST SAY FOLLOW UR HEART CRAP HELP me out!!!!

Hate to add into the mix here BUT dreams are the brain's way of just taking a vacation for a few hours.
Now, it could be this is really you heart's desire to marry Patrick because deep down you know it isn't right with Brendan. HOWEVER, Freud once said, "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" which means, sometimes a dream is just a dream with absolutely no meaning whatsoever.
What you have to do now is look over all your answerd to your Q and find the one that is the one that makes you feel the calmest--it is probably the right one.
DO NOT choose the one that you want to hear (kind of defeats the purpose of asking) but choose the one that makes you the calmest..

If Brendan is who you like, and who you want to date, go ahead and do that. It may be that Patrick has a quality of some kind, or a philosophy, or a way of looking at things that you have adopted for yourself, and the "marriage" is a symbol of integrating these ideas or philosopies or qualities that you have adopted from him. But only you can answer if he is a good influence on you as a friend or something....

Dreams are never literal.
You are only attracted to a characteristic of Patrick.
The date and marry thing shows that you greatlly admire that characteristic.
If you like Brendan, then go for him.
