Can someone give me info on an inexpensive romantic getaway place in Southern California?

You can try either Solvang or Temecula.

Both are inexpensive, have plenty for couples to do and are fun places to visit. Things like wine tasting, sightseeing, slower relaxed atmosphere, nice restaurants. This time of year, you can't head to the beach as the prices are jacked up everywhere in So Cal.

Yeah go to Temecula! It's safe and there are a lot of things to do! You can go wine tasting in the many wineries, you can go on a hot air balloon (it's really popular out here), and so much more!
