We checked him for fleas and ticks and he didnt have any. He's also losing a lot of hair, especially on his head and around his ears. We think he may be allergic to something, but we're not sure what it could be. We also have another dog and he's not having any of these problems. Thanks again!!!

You need to take him to a Vet so they can get a skin scrape and see if it is mange or a fungal infection or what. Ant bites can cause those bumps, but mange can too. The longer it spreads the worse it is and it can kill your dog. I hope you will take him to a Vet to get the proper medication for his treatment. Even a Vet would be wrong to tell you just from you posting, what was wrong with your dog. He needs an examination.

He could have been stung by something or he may be allergic to something new in the yard. My dog had something similar and we took him to the vet. He was given antibiotics and benadryl and it went away...make sure you clean it and don't let him scratch it any more. Take him to your vet and see if there isnt anything they can recommend. Like I said my dog got antibiotics and then was good to go after a few days. With the bendaryl you need to make sure you give the right amount for a dog. So consult your vet!
Good luck!

Fleas (you may have missed them, as all it takes are 1 or 2 to make some itch like crazy)? Allergies? Dry skin? My guess is fleas or allergies. A trip to the vet would be the best.

It may be ant bites. They will sting a puppy and leave pus filled bumps. Too many ants can kill a little puppy.
