So I was with this guy for 4 months. One weekend my friend was having her birthday party at a bar, I invited him to go but he didnt want to so I ended up going with two of my girlfriends and two of my cousins. Well the second that I walk in the door at this bar one of my cousins tells me that she saw another ex of mine and I dont pay any mind to him cause we broke up like 2 years ago. Well the next day my BF somehow finds out that my ex was at the bar BEFORE I could even tell him. Like he literally called me and asked what was I doing at the same bar as my ex and before I could even give an explanation he completely over reacts and breaks up with me.
Is that a stupid reason for a break up?
The trouble is we have been broken up for six months now and still want to be back with him. What should I do?

YUP Janicajayne is so rite...b cuz first of all why didnt he want to go with U to that b day party...and second of all...HE DIDNT EVEN LET u EXLAIN!!!...a real BF would of at least gave 5 xeconds to explain...N Hell yeah its a stupid reason to break up...U shouldnt be thinking about goin back out with hiim...b cuz if hes the one that broke up for that...then U have no reason to say SORRY...He is the one that should tell U sorry, not U...U should move on and look for someone else or jus wait 4 him...HopeFullY u got the point...N that it helped...=)

Ask yourself what do you want? Do you want to get married? He's insecure and jealous and you don't want to invest your time in someone like that who is going to keep tabs on you and scrutinize you. My ex-boyfriend knew I worked with two lesbians and was so insecure that he didn't want me wearing makeup to work or looking nice because he was convinced that they would convince ME to have a threesome even though we were just friends and I had NO interest in anything with the same sex. I would wear makeup to work and he would try to wipe it off my face in the car!
Has the thought occurred to to you that maybe he wanted to break it off anyway for some other reason and that was just an opportunity he needed?
If it has been six months and you are still mourning the loss of this relationship and you still want to be with him yet he hasn't made a move to reconcile (I'd say after six months he is NOT interested) then you need to move on and put it behind you.

I think this guy has issues and you are better off without him. The obvious answer to your question is "yes, this is a stupid reason to break up"; however, I don't believe that any reason is really stupid. If the person is wrong for you, get out of the relationship, or you'll both be miserable sooner or later.
I think his "reason" was really an excuse, and you should pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and move on.

by the sound of it, it sounds like your relationship was suffering already, if he over reacted like that it shows that he didnt trust you nor does he care for what you have to say. a relationship is about two people not just one, what he did was selfish but do you really want a guy like that back, you should find someone better and someone that trusts you

yes!! stupid reason to break up. I'd be willing to bet that's not the real reason. if it is then he is way to insecure and you don't want him anyways. a secure man wouldn't be bothered by that. you didn't do anything wrong. move on.
