Maybe if you made a home made video? or, put some pictures together? The Photo wont be corny, it'll help him focus on the fact that, although one of his girls is gone ( im so sorry for you loss...) that he still has 2 left, that love him. Think about what he's into, and get a rare version of whatever it is, small scale, so he can put it on his desk, Lounge, whatever. i.e. a small car, a statue, or just a warm letter, will do more than enough. Remember that your dad was with your mother long before you... so.. now you have to be extra patient with him... youre mostly all that he has... .

I'm sorry for your loss dear.

If you want to do something with pictures, you can do a collage of pictures. Get a whole bunch of pictures from when you and your sisters were kids and if you can get any of when both your parents were young before you all came along.
Kind of like capturing moments in time all in one big collage, it may hurt a bit but I'm sure the joy will surpass the hurt.

Your father will really appreciate the time and effort that it takes to make something like this, it wont cost much either.
You will need to cut them up so be sure to get copies of them first that way none are ruined, most film developing places scan pictures for .10-.12 a copy..

Good luck on whatever you end up doing

Hi,

I am so sorry for the tragic loss your family has suffered.

I personally like the idea of a nice picture of all his girls. A great picture can pull someone through some dark moments and remind them why life is worth living.

Walmart also puts pictures on mugs, shirts and other assorted items...so maybe some pictures from when you girls were small or pictures of you guys and him...on one of these items.

All the best to you and your family.

I think the picture idea is great. May be just the thing that will make him smile.

You could also give him a gift certificate somewhere where he likes to hang out or relax. You could also make him a coupon book or something. This way when he wants his favorite meal, he could just hand you guys the coupon and relax for the night.

But really, I liked the picture idea the best.

Sorry for your loss, sweetie! The picture is a great idea! You can also get him a card or write him a letter and express how you feel about him. I'm sure just you and your family is a wonderful gift for your dad : )

Just make it dad's day. Make him an awesome lunch or supper and spend the whole day with him doing things he enjoys. I would also write him a letter telling him how you feel. Tell him how much you appreciate all he does and how special he is to your family. You could add in extra special details that make your family and relationship unique. Nothings says I love you like words from the heart!!

GREAT IDEA!!!!!! I was the baby and I got married (the first one) and my mom was sad that I left her and wasn't going to be around all the time. I gave her a picture of My brother, my sister and myself at my wedding and she started to cry. My husband's mom died 15 years ago and we never knew what really happened to her, well he never had a picture of her and I got one from his family, I blew it up and now he has a picture of his mom and he keeps it on his nightstand.

I don't think that's corny, I think that's the best gift a dad could get. My father's parents recently both died, and I sent him framed pictures of his grandchildren. When my husband saw them he liked them so much he wants some too, and I think my FIL would like them too.

If you want to spruce it up you could also take him out to lunch or make his favorite lunch or breakfast.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom.

A picture is a good idea. I think he would love it too! Especially if he does not have one, or it has been a long time since you have had a picture together. You could also hug him and say thanks. I did that for mothers day, and my mom loved it.

Picture would be fine, but I would see if you could find one with you 3 girls and your mom. Make him dinner that night as well. Maybe a back rub would be good as well. Just spoil him for the day.
