Four weeks is far too young for them to be separated from their mother. As far as weaning goes, the mother cat will do that on her own.. believe me, once they get older and are eating food on their own, she gets sick of them and pushes them away.
Ideally, kittens should go to new homes no sooner than 12wks, to learn as much social skills with their mother and siblings as they possibly can. 8wks is the absolute earliest they should go to new homes, though I still do not recommend they leave their mother that early.

4 weeks is fine as long as they are eating solid food. Most kittens will be by that time. I usually wait till they are 5 weeks but 4 is OK.

Start weaning them at 4 weeks but let them have some access to mom ,they take time to learn how to do it. By six weeks they should be totally off mom & mom should at that point have her mammory glands dried up so she can go in and get spayed and the kittens will be ready to go to good homes.

4 weeks is to young for kittens to leave their mother, they are babies and kittens should be between 10 to 12 weeks before leaving their mother. Best Wishes!

They may be more human dependent.. but that may be a good thing if you want an attached cat. They still need milk.. so you may have to feed them with a bottle.. As long as they are ok eating soft food they should be OK.. Try mixing some milk with the hard food to make it softer!!

6 weeks. If you seperate a kitten from its mother too early it doesn't get all the nutrients and anti-bodies they can only get from their mothers milk. Kittens also learn to wash themselves from their mother

4 weeks is not long enough. It needs the mother's milk for a few more weeks to have all the nutrients it needs to be healthy. You take them away too soon and they might not make it.

Usually, eight weeks is good. Four weeks is just too young. Will they be able to find the litter box and eat on their own? I'd wait at least two more weeks.

keep an eye on the kittens when they are ready they will start to eat the adult cats food... at that time they should start to be separated... when cats have just had their litter and you go to rub their stomach they roll over easily (as they do when feeding their kittens) as the mother starts to ween the babies she will not budge so easily ... so just let nature take its coarse â¥
