Not "Should" BUT "Can" use all plants & Scripture also says to Not be Drunk with Wine Right??? Man from the Garden entering into Sin, has since "Twisted" EVERYTHING he can for Selfish Purposes! Just like U get Drunk NOT for Ur Wife & Children, but for U!!! God does not want Us to "Lose" our "Normal" (as He intended) sense of Awareness or Alter it "Losing Control" and turning it over to someone or something else!!! God did give Us "Free Will" but doesn't want Us to get Stupid on Him either!!! U know that many Plants are Poison so U don't "Use" them right??? People Who Use "Pot" know this also & don't use Poison Plants, but think that since Pot won't kill them & since it only hurts the "User" that it's alright. Fact is, we now Know that Pot can alter Genetic Code & is very probably the reason kids today have ADHD!!! So why do U suppose that they think they can Over Rule a Law of Physics that says "To every action there is an opposite & equal reaction"??? We ALWAYS AFFECT PEOPLE AROUND US!!! Pot is a "Tip Off" or "Crutch" that signifies a Problem with the Users make-up as are Drugs, Drinking, Smoking, Bad Sex, Lying etc.. Sometimes these "Problems" are treatable like Bi-Polar is with Specific Controlled Doses of Medication under a Dr. supervision. So U see there are Many reasons not to Use Mary Jane Dude!!! Not Cool!!! John

Well, first off cocaine is not natural, sure the coco plant where it's derives is natural, but man changes the chemistry completely.
Coco leaves in nature act just like strong coffee if one chews the juice from there leaves.
Second, if your argument is, it's found in nature it's all good.
Well, hemlock is found in nature, I would not recommend using that plant, ask Socrates.
That being said, I personally think marijuana should be legalized. If alcohol is legal weed should be also.
I agree, you just need a better argument.
Instead of comparing marijuana to tobacco,
compare it to alcohol.
Don't use the natural plant argument, use the effects on
society argument, using alcohol as your basis for your
argument, seeing that it is legal and can arguably cause more problems.

Hi
The Bible says that you need to conform to the laws of your government, so that means that if it is illegal, then it is a sin to smoke pot, or use drugs, as it is against the law.
Unless you stay in Amsterdam, where everything is legal...
Hope it helps,
God Bless

Many plants have medicinal properties and other uses. The misuse of these plants is what is harmful.

Those are man's rules...man's bias; their belief they know the mind and will of God. Man wrote the rules, yes, even God's rules to control an ignorant and superstious herd of humans...and the herd never outgrew their belief in those rules and learned to think for themselves.

Yes, all such plants have their uses -- IN MODERATION. Unfortunately, our culture has removed the context that such plants used to be used in. Which is why they have been made illegal. Consider it the wages of sin.

In their natural states, the majority of the illegal drugs are just fine. When refined for the sole purpose of getting high of them, then there are issues.

Because of big brother prohibition laws that create more problems than they cure. I don't believe that Bible crap, but I know the drug war causes more problems than it cures.

I do not recall where it says we must, but I would think that just like so many things in this world, there would be proper uses, and IMPROPER ones.
