You can cover it up or laser it off!

Didn’t you just ask about getting a tattoo on top of your foot? I think you should put more thought into your decisions.
About the question, there are lots of different things to consider. If the tattoo hasn’t healed yet or if it is in color or black and grey. Laser removal is always an option but it is painful and expensive. Plus it doesn’t always remove all of the tattoo and the skin is usually discolored.

Well, I hear that these ointments that are out now, don't work
so good.
Laser is another choice, but it's gonna cost you about $100
a session and you may have sessions for a year or so, depending on the density of the tat. It will hurt a lot
more than the tat did, and last, it will leave a scar in the shape of your tat.
If I were you, I would consider just covering it up with another
tat.

They have to remove it using lasers. I heard it is very painful, expensive, and yes it leaves a scar. Before you do it decide what is best the tattoo or a scar. You may also try this makeup I saw that can cover them up. I'm not sure what its called but I bet you can find it if you search online.

The time to think about that is before you have the tattoo put on. In most cases tattoos are forever. Never do what you can't easily undo.
In a few years the fashion will be nice smooth clean skin. Those with what they think of as being "in" right now, will look like freaks later on.

My friend had a tattoo on her wrist she did not want anymore. Instead of getting surgery the artist blended paint to mix with her skin to cover it up. It did not work 100 percent, but it was not noticable unless you looked at it and knew it was there.
